Tuesday also featured another full house of comics, as both established veterans and first-timers tried out their material during our weekly comedy open mic!
The Berger, leading the show!
Tyrone, sharing stories and getting laughs :)
Friday saw the return of Star's new "talk show" format for part of the music open mic! Those performing took a few minutes to get interviewed and tell everyone a bit about themselves.
And of course, there were fantastic musical performances by a host of wonderful local artists!
Even Caylee, the night's barista, got into the act!
Friday also saw the debut of Chef Talli's "Vineyard Gourmet" menu. Highlighting the cuisines of San Francisco, the Chef served up an amazing variety of dishes!
The Presidio Roast Beef of Prime Sirloin
Chef Talli's Award-Winning Chicken Pash'e
Diced Rainwater Entree Salad
On Saturday, we had one of the busiest nights ever! The weekly "Potlikker Showcase" was solely dedicated to the Gary Thomas Tribute / send off party for Lori & Gary.
Lori & Gary are two of our favorite people here and after decades in Altadena, they are leaving our fair shores for life up in Northern California. The cafe was packed to the brim, as everyone came out to say farewell!
Musical performances were provided by our fearless leader (Julie), Eric Pollard, and the first performance by the Lori/Gary's kids' new band!
Also on Saturday, we had our monthly "Cans For Comedy" canned food drive. A great selection of comics generously donated their time to help us raise food for the less fortunate, and thanks to everyone's contributions, we raised more than 50 pounds of food for the local Friends In Deed food bank!
Katsy Chappell bringing down the house :)
Finally, we closed out the week with another spectacular Sunday music open mic! Dennis, Eli, Mr. McZeal, ORLANDO, Rondie, The Enablers, and many more graced our stage and contributed to the perfect end to another great week!
Eli playing Hank Williams, in proper attire!
Mr. McZeal; that's the blues!
The Enablers, showing how it's DONE!
