Gary Thomas Tribute!

This week's Potlikker Saturday Showcase was solely dedicated to our resident artist Gary Thomas. Gary is an accomplished artist who painted the mural in the Backstage, as well as the outside patio and donated the large painting hanging in the main room. He and his wife Lori are leaving our sunny shores and moving up to Northern California, so we gathered tonight to pay tribute to these two wonderful people!

The cafe was PACKED to the brim!

The crowd was so large, people stood outside!

The evening was full of good friends, good music, good food and plenty of laughter!  Coffee Gallery's owner Julie kicked off the evening with a few songs on her violin, plus some surprise singing. :)

Eric followed with a hilarious rendition of an Irish song, plus a few jokes regarding what he and Gary had in common!

One of the highlights of the evening was getting to hear Lori and Gary's kids performing live for the first time in their new band!

To help people enjoy the evening, Julie made some of her AMAZING collard greens and corn bread!

And what would a Tribute be without some of our wonderful friends!? We were fortunate to have some of our beloved regulars with us here this evening. :)
